Carlisle Reservation, Equestrian Center, 13630 Diagonal Rd., LaGrange - facility has a concession building with a judging stand and bleacher seating plus seven miles of trails for you to trot on. The judging stand and arena may be reserved for horse shows. Call (440) 458-5121 for more information.
Carlisle Visitor Center’s ‘Wildlife Observation Area’ (WOA) is an area and opportunity for you to enjoy observing and learning about the variety of birds and other wildlife that visit the flowers, birdfeeders, and ponds in our beautiful ‘Wildlife Garden'. See first-hand how to create a wildlife-friendly garden in your own backyard as you relax and bird-watch. Meet our various live reptiles and amphibians who are currently on display for you to observe as well!
In addition, reading materials, interpretive displays, and hands-on activities can be found on a variety of wildlife-related topics such as from identification & natural history to observing & feeding. Binoculars are available to borrow upon request, as well as kid-friendly books and activities for your lil’birders. Don’t forget to check-out our Arrowhead program guide for upcoming public programs tailored to and held in the WOA. The WOA and Nature Nook gift shop, also located in the WOA, is open to the public during Visitor Center hours 8:00am-4:30pm.
