Birding

All of our parks are good places to view wildlife and nature. Our most popular places for birding are Sandy Ridge Reservation, Columbia Reservation, Wellington Reservation , Lakeview Park, Bacon Woods at Vermillion River Reservation, and Black River Reservation. Each boast their own unique blend of birds and sometimes host rare visitors. A breeding list of birds at the Sandy Ridge Reservation is available on the Sandy Ridge Reservation page. To stay up to date about bird sightings in the metro parks, enter your information below to add your e-mail address to our Bird sighting list.
